In a recent personal revelation, Priyanka’s husband Nick Jonas opened up about the challenging circumstances surrounding the birth of their daughter Malti. speaking on Intentionally podcast, he shared, “She came into the world under very difficult circumstances. We were expecting her to arrive in April of the same year she was born, and we got the call that it was going to be soon.”
Recalling that emotional moment, Nick said Daughter appeared “violet” at birth. “We basically, you know, sprang into action and she was born via surrogate. We went to the hospital, and she came out. She was basically 1 pound, 11 ounces and purple,” he recalled.
Malti spent nearly 100 days in the neonatal intensive care unit, a period Nick described as extremely difficult for the family. “These angels in the NICU, in that moment, revived him and took care of him really quickly and intubated (him) and everything else. Because it was the time of COVID, my wife and I would basically do 12-hour shifts in the hospital for three and a half months. I can still, smell it,” he said, reflecting on the experience.
