Sanam Teri Kasam 2 officially in the making, producer confirms
Producer Deepak Mukut shared an update on Sanam Teri Kasam reboot as the film completes ten years. The 2016 film starred Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane in the lead roles.
Producer Deepak Mukut shared an emotional post as Sanam Teri Kasam completed ten years. He also confirmed about its upcoming sequel.
Mukut’s Instagram post reads, “I have been attracted towards filmmaking since childhood. What attracted me most was being the one driving it. Being a producer means wearing many hats. From the script to the actors, the crew, the budget and countless other things that a producer is responsible for. With my first film as a producer, I wanted to make a romance with a strong emotional core (sic).”
My love I swear this on you Was released in 2016. Although the film initially failed to achieve commercial success, it later became the second highest-grossing re-release film of 2025.
Later highlighting the success of the film, the producer wrote, “My dream came true with Sanam Teri Kasam. It was the first labor of love under the banner of Soham Rockstar Entertainment. Although the film did not perform well at the box office initially, I always had faith in it. It was validated when the film was re-released and history was rewritten. It became the highest-grossing re-released film in Hindi cinema. While I had the satisfaction of making the kind of film I wanted I was longing for the love of the audience.”
Mukut also expressed gratitude towards family and friends, Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, who co-directed the film, with the lead pair – actors Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, along with composer Himesh Reshammiya.
“By the grace of God, the blessings of my parents and the love of my family, today the film completes a decade of release, I want to thank the audience from the bottom of my heart for showering so much love on my first son. Vinay, Radhika, Harshvardhan, Mavra and Himesh and the entire team, you all helped my dream come true. I also want to thank the cast and crew of the film without whom this film would not have been possible. But the story doesn’t end here.” There is a reboot in store (sic),” he concluded.
