This is a difficult title to predict. The original was a blockbuster in 2023, opening at Rs. 6.75 crore and ultimately closed at Rs. 221 crore nett. The film was inspired by a political ideology, but it is uncertain whether it holds the same impact.
During the same period, The Kashmir Files was an even bigger hit, but its sequel, The Bengal Files, had a disappointing performance last year, opening at just Rs. 1.35 crores and completion is around Rs. 15 crores nett. This film may also meet a similar fate, but one can never be sure, because at the end of the year, a nothing film like The Taj Story managed to do well. Here, with some IP value for the origin, one can hope for better.
