After the alleged shooting attempt at Rohit Shetty’s house, the filmmaker is keeping it low-key. According to reliable sources, he has canceled all his plans for the next two days. He has also asked his close friends like Ajay Devgan not to visit him for at least the next 48 hours.
The source further added, “Rohit is currently cooperating with the Mumbai Police and recording his statement. He is fully involved in the investigation. Although his residence has been given additional security, he has asked all his industry friends not to come home. He is connecting with all his concerned friends and colleagues only through calls and messages.”
Four rounds were fired outside Bollywood director Rohit Shetty’s Juhu residence late Saturday night, triggering a huge security and forensic response in Mumbai, officials said. There is no information about anyone being injured in the incident.
After unidentified gunmen opened fire around the filmmaker’s residence, special police units, crime branch and forensic experts were rushed to the spot. The authorities immediately cordoned off the area and deployed heavy security forces across the area as a security precaution. In view of the incident, police patrolling has been significantly increased in the entire area.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the shooting outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence in Mumbai early Sunday, while Pune police have detained five people in connection with the incident.
Following a preliminary investigation into the shooting at the filmmaker’s Juhu home, Pune Police have established that the detained men are allegedly associates of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
