If the leaks and reports are anywhere near accurate, 2026 could feel like a never-ending launch season for Apple fans. The company is said to be preparing more than 20 product announcements this year, covering everything from iPhones and iPads to Macs, wearables, and even new smart home devices. Some of these updates are expected and routine, while others may quietly change how Apple fits into everyday life at home and on the go.

The year is likely to start with familiar devices getting timely upgrades. Apple is expected to introduce the iPhone 17e in the first half of 2026, which is a refreshed version of the iPhone 16e with the A19 chip. MagSafe support and Dynamic Island are also expected, making the phone feel closer to Apple’s premium lineup than earlier “E” models. Around the same time, the iPad Air could go from an M3 to an M4 chip, while the regular iPad could go to an A18 or A19 processor.

Mac users may have a lot to look forward to at the beginning of the year as well. The MacBook Air is said to be powered by the M5 chip, while the MacBook Pro lineup could get M5 Pro and M5 Max processors with PCIe 5.0 support for faster storage speeds. Apple is also rumored to be working on a lower-priced MacBook powered by the A18 Pro chip, with a 12.9-inch display and brighter color options, presumably aimed at students and casual users.

Desktop hardware and displays are also part of Apple’s early-year plans. A refreshed Mac Studio is expected with M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips, and the Studio display may finally get long-requested upgrades like mini-LED backlighting, ProMotion with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR support, and a new A-series chip.

One of the most interesting launches expected before the middle of the year is Apple’s Smart Home Hub. The device is said to have a 6 to 7-inch display that can be placed on a table or mounted on a wall, powered by an A18 chip and designed around a more personalized version of Siri. FaceTime support is also expected. Additionally, Apple may also introduce its own HomeKit-enabled security camera, which is designed to work in conjunction with the new hub.

The second half of 2026 is where things could get more exciting. Apple is reportedly preparing the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max with the new A20 Pro chip. These models may come with a narrow dynamic island, a simplified camera control setup, and variable aperture for at least one rear camera. Other features being talked about include web browsing via satellite and Apple’s in-house C2 modem for 5G. The Pro Max variant may be slightly thicker, possibly to accommodate the battery or camera changes.

Then there’s the long-rumored foldable iPhone. Expected to arrive later this year, the device is expected to feature a 7.7-inch internal display and a 5.3-inch external screen with an almost crease-free design. It may come with two rear cameras, one front camera, and a Touch ID power button instead of Face ID, which suggests Apple is carefully experimenting with form and security on its first foldable.

Expect to see updates in Apple’s wearables in the second half as well. The Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 may bring new chips, design changes, and even Touch ID. The higher-end AirPods Pro 3 may include an infrared camera aimed at AI-powered features.

MacBook Pro users may have to wait until the end of the year for something big. A major redesign is rumored to include M6 Pro and M6 Max chips, OLED displays, touch support, a thinner body, and even built-in cellular connectivity using Apple’s C2 modem.

Some products do not have a clear launch window yet. These include Apple Glass with augmented reality features, a Face ID-enabled smart doorbell, a new iPad mini with an OLED display and improved durability, and refreshed Mac mini models with M5 chips. Devices that were not updated in 2025, such as the Apple TV and HomePod mini, are also expected to finally get attention this year.
