Actors Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon have completed shooting for their upcoming romantic-comedy film cocktail 2. The trio celebrated with director Homi Adjanai after the completion of the film’s shooting.
On Saturday, Homi shared a fun picture on his Instagram handle in which Shahid, Rashmika and Kriti are seen celebrating with him. The photo was captioned, “#FilmWrap love you fools. Had fun!” His post read, “cocktail2 Shoot wrapped. I may be biased, but this seems a little special. Much love to my fab crew and cast for tolerating my absurdity. Love you guys (sic).”
Although the official release date of the film has not been announced, reports suggest that the makers are eyeing to release the film in the third quarter of 2026. Kriti commented, “Love you homestarer (sic)!!”
Although there is no final confirmation regarding the official release date of the film, the makers have fixed the release in September to ensure that there is a gap of six months after Shahid’s release. hey romeoAs reported, will be released in theaters in February midday.
cocktail 2 Written by Luv Ranjan and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. However, details about the story have been kept under wraps. Original cocktail (2012) focuses on a contemporary love triangle between Gautam Kapoor (Saif Ali Khan), Veronica Melanie (Deepika Padukone) and Mira Sahni (Diana Penty). Set against a vibrant, urban backdrop, the film explores the chaotic overlaps of friendship, romance, and emotional loyalty. It became a cult favorite due to its hit soundtrack and storytelling style, which felt incredibly fresh at the time.
Shahid will next be seen in director Vishal Bhardwaj’s film. o’romeoIn which Trupti Dimri, Nana Patekar, Disha Patani, Avinash Tiwari, Farida Jalal, Vikrant Massey and Tamannaah Bhatia are in lead roles.
