Talking about the viral clip, Kalpana Iyer said that the video was unplanned, And there was no rehearsal, choreography or expectation of creating material.

She said, “I was at the wedding of my friend’s son, who is like my own child. The dance was impromptu and I shared it on social media. And within a few hours, it was all over the internet. I am very surprised and very grateful to have received so much love. I am completely overwhelmed.”

The actress was on her way back home to Dubai, where she lives. He shared that it was his first interview in years: “And for a song I did more than 40 years ago, it makes it even more special.”

When Kalpana was asked about the trending moment, she said that her friend had asked her to join the dance.
