She said, “I was at the wedding of my friend’s son, who is like my own child. The dance was impromptu and I shared it on social media. And within a few hours, it was all over the internet. I am very surprised and very grateful to have received so much love. I am completely overwhelmed.”
The actress was on her way back home to Dubai, where she lives. He shared that it was his first interview in years: “And for a song I did more than 40 years ago, it makes it even more special.”
When Kalpana was asked about the trending moment, she said that her friend had asked her to join the dance. Kalpana said, “God please turn it around and make this work for me because I have missed my industry. I have missed the studio – the smell of the studio. I have missed a lot of things, my industry. Hopefully this should be a good start.”
