Vivo is going elite with V70 series in India, will launch soon with these specs and features
Vivo has confirmed the launch of the V70 series in India. The company has revealed the design and some details of two upcoming devices – the V70 and V70 Elite. Here are all the details.
Vivo is ready to launch its next generation V series in India. The Chinese phone maker has confirmed two devices – the V70 and the V70 Elite. The V70 series not only comes with a new design but is also set to receive major upgrades in terms of performance while retaining its Zeiss branding.
To get you up to speed, here are all the details about the Vivo V70 series.
Vivo V70 series design
The launch page of the V70 series is now live on Vivo’s India website, giving us early information about the upcoming smartphones. The device shown on the website shows a new square camera module with a triple rear camera setup. This is different from the vertically arranged pill-shaped camera module on the Vivo V60. You also get a new Passion Red shade
However, the V70 series retains the ring light for the flash as well as the Zeiss branding. It is not clear whether the displayed device is the V70 or the V70 Elite.
Vivo says that the V70 series will get an aerospace-grade aluminum frame for better durability. The devices will also come with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
Vivo V70 series cameras
The V series has focused on bringing good camera experiences, and the V70 series will likely continue this trend. Vivo has revealed that the V70 Elite will have a triple rear camera setup – a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel 3x telephoto, along with an ultrawide lens.
The front camera is a 50-megapixel unit. All sensors get Zeiss branding. According to Vivo, the V70 Elite will come with support for 4K HDR video recording. However it is not clear whether it will be available only for the primary sensor or not.
Vivo V70 series performance
Another upgrade for the V70 series is the chipset. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC will be used in Vivo V70 Elite. While the vanilla V70 will use Snapdragon 7 Gen 4.
Also, both phones will have LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. For reference, the Vivo V60 uses LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.
Vivo V70 series display and battery
On the front, the Vivo V70 series will feature a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Maximum brightness is set at 5,000 nits. The V70 Elite will come with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, which is faster than the optical fingerprint scanner used in the V60.
Talking about the battery, Vivo V70 series will have a 6,500mAh battery, which will support 90W fast charging. You also get bypass charging support.
Vivo V70 series launch and expected price
Vivo has not yet revealed the launch date of V70 series. However, according to SmartPrix, the devices will likely be released next month.
Although there is no official information about the price, but according to reports, the price of Vivo V70 Elite could be less than Rs 55,000.
