Siddharth Anand won hearts online when he called a delivery boy a “true hero” in response to a viral video mocking the man’s job.

Filmmaker Siddharth Anand has earned praise on social media after reacting strongly to a viral video in which a woman is making fun of her former school friend, who now works as a delivery boy. Calling the man a “true hero”, Siddhartha’s response touched many and highlighted the dignity of labor and hard work.
Video, shared by a user named X (formerly Twitter) Saffron ChargersA woman is shown recording her school-time friend on the street. In the clip, she laughs while remembering how he used to motivate classmates to study, and then makes fun of him for working as a delivery person at the age of 30. Although the man is smiling the entire time, he appears clearly uncomfortable. At the end of the video the woman says she will send the clip to their old friends.

The post was shared with the caption, “A pizza delivery boy meets his school-time girlfriend on the street, starts recording and makes fun of her: ‘You used to inspire everyone in school and now you’re delivering pizza?’ Then she said she would send the video to other friends too.” It further reads, “She laughed but did not think even for a moment: Boys’ lives are not easy. Sometimes responsibilities come before age. Dreams get buried. Self-esteem is tested. Delivering pizza isn’t embarrassing. To make fun of someone’s struggle. It’s not easy being a boy.”
Responding to the post, Siddharth Anand wrote, “He is a hero! Whatever you are. You are a real hero!! You are working hard! You are working honestly. Earning for yourself. Not being a burden on anyone. No work is more or less. True hero. You have my respect.” His words were widely appreciated, with users responding with comments such as, “Only one heart, Sid sir, how many times are you going to win it,” and “And we respect you for speaking out on these things.”
