Vivo has quietly expanded its premium smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the Vivo X200T, a device that sits between the more affordable X200 FE (Review) and the high-end Vivo X300 (Review). Priced at under Rs 60,000, the X200T is clearly aimed at buyers who want flagship-grade performance and camera quality, but aren’t willing to stretch their budget for Vivo’s top-tier offering. With competition increasing in this segment, the new Vivo phone is set to compete with upcoming and existing rivals such as the OnePlus 15R, iQOO 15R and even Vivo’s own X300.

Vivo X200T: Price in India, sale offers revealed

Vivo X200T has been launched in two variants in India. The base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs 59,999, while the higher 12GB RAM and 512GB storage option is priced at Rs 69,999. The sale will begin on February 3 and the phone will be available on Vivo’s official website, Flipkart, and offline retail stores. As part of the launch offer, Vivo is offering an instant cashback of Rs 5,000 along with an exchange bonus of up to Rs 5,000, making the effective price a little easier to digest for buyers considering an upgrade.

Vivo X200T comes in 2 colors in India.

Vivo X200T: full specifications

On the front, the Vivo X200T comes with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. The panel uses a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera and offers thin bezels, giving the phone a modern, clean look. Although it lacks LTPO technology, which would have helped in better power efficiency, Vivo is confident that the display experience is good enough for its price category.

Powering the Vivo X200T is MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+, which is an upgraded version of the Dimensity 9400 chipset. Although it doesn’t match the new Dimensity 9500 found inside the Vivo X300, the 9400+ is still a flagship-class processor built to handle heavy workloads. From graphically demanding games to multitasking for long periods of time, the chipset paired with 12GB of RAM will deliver a consistently smooth experience. This makes the X200T a strong contender for users who want performance close to flagship levels without paying flagship prices.

In terms of software, the phone runs on Android 16 with Vivo’s OriginOS 6 skin on top. Vivo has promised five major Android updates and seven years of security patches.

Battery life is another area where the Vivo X200T aims to impress. The device has a 6,200mAh battery, which is larger than the one you’ll find on the regular X200 and is pretty standard for phones in this price range. With support for 90W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging, the charging speed is equally competitive.

Cameras remain a major talking point for the Vivo X200T. The phone has the same ZEISS-backed triple rear camera setup as the Vivo X200, though with different primary and telephoto sensors. It includes a 50MP Sony LYT702 main sensor with OIS, a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide camera and a 3x 50MP Sony LYT600 telephoto lens. There is a 32MP selfie camera on the front.

In terms of build and durability, the Vivo X200T comes with an aluminum alloy frame sandwiched between glass panels. It also has IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, which is still not very common in this price range. Other features include 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, dual SIM support, 5G connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.4.

Price is where the Vivo X200T starts to make a strong case against its newer brother. In a market like India, where value for money often matters more than chasing the best performance, the lower asking price of the X200T gives it a clear advantage over the Vivo X300, even though the latter is a more powerful phone.

Vivo In our testing, the phone recorded an AnTuTu score of around 3.1 million, which puts it firmly at the top of Android performance. This bump in raw power is one of the main reasons the X300 costs quite a bit more.

On the other hand, Vivo X200T runs on Dimensity 9400+ processor. Although it is a generation older, the chip remains a flagship-class SoC and offers similar performance to the standard Dimensity 9400 SoC. Both chipsets use the same Arm CPU cores, with only a minor clock speed increase on the Cortex-X925 core separating them. For most users, this difference is not noticeable in daily use.

What makes the X200T better is the overall package it is able to offer at a lower price. The phone features a flagship-level camera setup along with a powerful processor, a large battery, a high-quality display, and solid IP-rated protection. This makes it particularly attractive to users who want premium camera output and strong battery life without paying as much as the X300 demands.

For reference, the Vivo X200 Pro, which is powered by the Dimensity 9400, previously scored nearly 2 million on AnTuTu. This helps put the X200T’s performance into perspective. While the X300 is clearly ahead in raw power and camera capabilities, the

Now, what about the OnePlus 15R, which starts at Rs 47,999 and is clearly more affordable than Vivo’s new phone? OnePlus devices are generally known for delivering strong performance straight out of the box, and the 15R continues that trend. However, it appears that Vivo is targeting users who want a more balanced mix of camera quality and performance. The OnePlus 15R is likely to attract power users more, especially with an AnTuTu score of around 2.9 million that points towards its raw performance focus.

The iQOO 15R is also expected to launch in India soon and is widely seen as a gaming-focused smartphone. That said, iQOO has managed to offer quite capable cameras in its recent phones. As a result, Vivo’s X200T is also likely to face competition from the iQOO 15R, especially if the leaked specifications translate into a decent real-world experience.

For those who want exact details on the gaming performance, battery stability and camera output of the X200T, stay tuned to India Today Tech as we will release our review very soon.
