Dhurandhar Box Office: Ranveer Singh starrer surpasses Pushpa 2 to become India’s biggest Hindi film of all time

For almost nine years, India’s biggest Hindi film did not belong to the Hindi film industry, i.e. Bollywood. In 2017, Baahubali: The Conclusion snatched the all-time record from Dangal and held it for over seven years, before Pushpa: The Rule finally displaced it. In between, there were ‘Pathan’, ‘Gadar 2’, ‘Jawaan’ and ‘Stree 2’ which made records in NETT, but this was due to low tax, while in GROSS, which is the actual earnings, they lagged behind.

That changed yesterday.

Dhurandhar collected Rs. Earning around Rs 4.25 crore on its fifth Tuesday at the Indian box office, the Aditya Dhar directed Ranveer Singh starrer has become the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time in India. Thirty-three days after its release the film collected Rs. Net earning of approximately Rs 741 crore. Pushpa 2 (Hindi) Rs 738 crore. The gross figures are Rs. 893 crore and Rs. 892 crores respectively.

Dhurandhar is on the way to cross Rs.1 crore. Earning of Rs 750 crore in the sixth week. It is likely to close above Rs. 775 crore nett, while Rs. The Rs 800 crore nett benchmark looks tough now, unless the film achieves some unexpectedly strong traction in the coming weeks.

Dhurandhar has emerged as the most watched original Hindi film theatrically in the post-pandemic era, selling nearly 3.25 crore tickets, surpassing Gadar 2. While the collections are way ahead of the rest of the Bollywood films, the difference is not that much in terms of viewership. Apart from higher contributions from multiplexes, the film maintained increased ticket prices throughout its run, unlike most other films, which reduced their prices from the second Monday onwards. Dhurandhar has finally reduced its prices this week. The film is likely to cross 3.50 crore footfall, although it looks challenging to surpass Dangal’s 3.70 crore footfall and become the most watched original Hindi film in the last twenty-five years.

The box office collections of Dhurandhar in India are as follows:
