Emily in Paris is ready for season 6! The popular Netflix romance show is going live once again, the OTT platform announced on January 5 local time. This is followed by another successful season which released on December 18, 2025, which garnered 26.8 million views globally in just 11 days of its release.
Lily Collins Personally Confirms Emily in Paris Season 6
A clip was shared on the show’s social media platforms to mark the confirmation. It starred the lead character Emily Cooper, played by Lily Collins, in her new bob, which was debuted the previous season when she went in front of the cameras. With a smile, the shot pans away and shows her on the phone screen as she blows out the number ‘6’ candle on a croissant, celebrating the new edition. With roses and the iconic Eiffel Tower in the background, it hints at very interesting events that await the actress.
Previously, according to Netflix, during a press conference in December, series creator Darren Star shared, “There are a lot of places I would love to go. But I think the show organically follows the story. This show is Emily in Paris. It’s never going to leave its home base permanently. But if I can take the audience on a trip somewhere else, I’d love to… (thinking about it) is fun.”
Last season, which briefly featured Emily in Rome, the lead star traveled around Italy with her new boyfriend Marcello Muratori (Eugenio Franceschini). But at the end of episode 10, after a lavish fashion event, she is brought back to Paris, and her long-lost love Chef Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) sends her a letter inviting her to Greece.
It remains to be seen whether the show begins with a new passion between Emily and Gabriel in a new city, or whether she moves back to Rome to live with her most recent boyfriend, Marcello, who has offered her a quiet life in Solitano as well as welcoming her into his fashion house, Muratori. Meanwhile, her best friend Mindy (Ashley Park) has accepted Nicholas De Leon’s (Paul Forman) proposal, while Emily has feelings for his ex-wife, Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), with whom she has had an affair.
