LG unveiled the OLED evo W6 at CES 2026. The device maker says the device aims to bring back the ultra-thin wallpaper TV concept that was first showcased in 2017. The thickness of the W6 Wallpaper TV is just 9mm, which is almost the same as most smartphones. LG says the new device integrates true wireless connectivity and a redesigned internal structure, which allows it to be mounted flush against a wall. The company claims that the W6 TV is to celebrate OLED developments.

The W6 is claimed to be the thinnest truly wireless OLED TV. LG has updated its wall mount to ensure edge-to-edge contact with the wall, giving the desired ‘wallpaper’ effect. The Zero Connect box, which contains all the inputs, can be placed up to 10 meters away from the TV, leaving only the power cord visible. This approach is designed to maintain the attractive appearance of the display in any room.

Despite the slim form, LG claims the Wallpaper TV delivers lossless 4K video and audio. The 4K OLED panel is available in 77-inch and 83-inch sizes, targeting an audience that wants premium performance and a display that blends in with their living space.

The OLED evo W6 is powered by LG’s Hyper Radiant Color Technology, a new advancement that aims to increase black depth, color accuracy and brightness while reducing screen reflections. According to LG, the TV achieves 3.9 times more brightness than previous OLEDs thanks to the Brightness Booster Ultra system. This makes it the company’s brightest OLED yet.

LG claims this model has the lowest reflections of any of its TVs, earning it Reflection Free with Premium certification from Intertek. The aim is to make the W6 easier to view in well-lit rooms, maintaining black levels and color fidelity even with ambient light.

When you’re not using the TV, you can actually turn it into a de facto wallpaper with LG Gallery Plus. The Gallery Plus service, available on the W6 and other 2026 models, allows users to choose from over 4,500 views and customize the screen when not in use, meeting the needs of both gamers and interior-conscious consumers.

Performance improvements are enabled by the new (Alpha) 11 AI Processor Gen3. Featuring a neural processing unit that is 5.6 times more powerful than previous chips, the processor uses a dual AI engine to simultaneously balance noise reduction and texture preservation, resulting in images that retain natural detail.

The W6 is equipped with features like 4K 165Hz refresh rate, NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, AMD FreeSync Premium, and 0.1ms response time for gaming. This makes the device an ideal choice for gamers.
