Don’t we all want a friend who, in our bad times, just says, ‘Tu khush hai toh jahaan mein chahai hai khushi’? It’s hard to find a friend like Jai who goes out of his way to make you happy. To the world, it may seem like a trivial thing, but even in small griefs like the loss of Meow (their pet cat), he stands by Genelia Deshmukh’s Aditi, selflessly comforting and comforting her.
2. A true gentleman
One of the main reasons why Jay was a true gentleman was that he was raised by a single mother. She always ensured that her son never got caught up in any patriarchal or misogynistic mindset. He respected every girl and was self-reliant. In fact, he had no qualms about doing household chores, which many men might consider ‘not so nice’.
3. Emotionally mature
Not many can boast of this golden quality, but even when faced with dangerous situations, we don’t see Jai losing his temper. It’s not that he’s afraid to fight, but he avoids violence, which also shows in the way he treats people around him. Remember how with his wit he defuses the situation when Aditi gets involved in a fight in college?
4. Found love in your friend
Not everyone can be as lucky as Jai to find love in his friend, but are you? Throughout the movie, he doesn’t realise his love for Aditi, but the jealousy and ‘missing his friend’ is always there. Looks like this whole journey was meant to make for the best love story!
5. One who keeps an eye on the people around him and takes care of them
Jai, whether he showed it or not, observed and cared for the people around him. From his mother to his friends and most importantly Aditi’s brother Amit (Prateik Babbar), he had the sensitivity to empathise with people and understand the reasons behind their behaviour and treat them with utmost decency.
