Actor-producer Deepika Padukone celebrated her 40th birthday on January 5, 2025, by launching an initiative to empower the next generation of creative talent. Deepika announced a platform on social media that focuses on empowering creative aspirants to pursue careers in the “film, television and advertising industries”.

Sharing a video on his Instagram handle, the actor said, “Last year, I felt very strongly about identifying incredible creative talents from across the country and abroad and giving them a platform to be seen, heard and experienced. I am so thrilled to announce the launch of ‘The Onset Programme’ and really can’t wait to introduce you all to the next generation of creative talent.”

She captioned her post, “I am extremely excited to launch my passion project – ‘Onset’ – an experiential learning program for technicians from various departments who want to pursue a career in Indian film, television and advertising. Visit Onsetprogram.in, send your work, tell us about yourself and get a chance to create or work with the best in the business! I can’t wait to welcome the next generation of creative talent ‘On Set’! (sic).”

On the work front, Deepika will next be seen opposite actor Allu Arjun in director Atlee’s sci-fi film, tentatively titled ‘AA22 x A6’. The pan India film is produced by Sun Pictures. Sharing the announcement, the production house wrote, “Rani moves on to win! @DeepikaPadukone welcome to #TheFacesOfAA22xA6 (sic).”

The actor will also be seen in Shahrukh Khan’s film ‘King’. The film is directed by Siddharth Anand and also stars Shah Rukh’s daughter Suhana Khan, Abhay Verma, Abhishek Bachchan and others in lead roles.

Deepika’s last theatrical Hindi release was Siddharth Anand’s ‘Fighter’, starring actors Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles.
