Avatar: Fire and Ashes opened lower than predicted. This is the first miss of “Pinkvilla Predicts” recently. That said, the call was apparently accurate in anticipating a decline from Avatar: The Way of Water, a decline that most of the trade had not anticipated.
There are two new releases entering tracking this week: Jan Neta and Rahu Ketu. It also serves as the final update to Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri.

Jana Neta is the Hindi dubbed version of the Tamil film Jana Nayakan starring Vijay. As his final film before entering politics, the project is widely discussed in his home market; However, that sentiment doesn’t translate meaningfully to the Hindi circuit. Vijay’s last two Hindi dubbed releases opened at Rs. 3 crore nett and Rs. 2 crore nett. Jan Neta is expected to remain in the same range, albeit slightly downwards.

First Day Box Office Prediction: Rs. 1-3 crores
A comedy film featuring the two lead actors of the Fukrey franchise, a teaser has hinted at a similar film. However, without Fukrey branding or IP value, opening traction becomes challenging. If its name had been Fukrey 4, it would have started, but in its current form the expectations are low.
