Honor is all set to strengthen its foot in the gaming phone sector with the unveiling of the Win series. The phone is officially launching on December 26, but we spent some time with it first and saw what it’s all about.
Its main feature is the 10,000mAh battery! Yes, 10 thousand, no typo error.

Honor Win will become fully official on Thursday, and we’ll have full details then. Teasers suggest excellent gaming performance and an active fan to help keep the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 well cooled. It is paired with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The company claimed an AnTuTu v10 score of over 4.4 million points, though we weren’t able to test it at this point.

victory of honor
Despite the additional aperture for the fan, the company also confirmed the IP69K rating for excellent dust and water resistance. There will also be a dual speaker setup on board.

We must say that the Honor Win does not immediately notice that it has a fan built into it. It’s very subtly integrated into the camera island.

Another thing that isn’t immediately noticeable is the massive battery packed into the Honor Win. Handling the phone, we would never have guessed the huge capacity as it doesn’t feel bulkier or bulkier than 6,000mAh or 7,000mAh phones.
The power pack inside is a Qinghai Lake battery with a Dujiangyan power management system and an E2 power-boosting chip. The battery uses Honor’s proprietary silicon-carbon anode technology and is named after China’s largest salt lake.

The Honor Win has the same control layout as the Magic8 Pro flagship. All the buttons are on the right side – you have a volume rocker, a power button, and possibly a physical camera control key (although this may be a switch on some gaming or performance mode duties).

Control
Honor Win has three cameras on the back along with an ultra fan. We don’t have full details yet, so we can’t say what sensors are mounted on the back of the lens.

However, looking at the focal length options in the camera app, there’s a 3x optical camera with the option of a wide angle, an ultrawide, and a 6x digital zoom. Don’t expect the same camera as the Magic8 Pro – that’s a proper flagship telephoto with a 3.7x and larger sensor.

Honor will unveil the Win series on December 26. The series includes the flagship Honor Win and an Honor Win RT with a lesser camera (but still with a built-in fan). Expect the Win to come in white, black and blue – the model we’ve handled. We’re expecting to hear more about its potential arrival outside China in the coming weeks.
