One Piece Season 2 Release Date Confirmed: Know Where to Watch, New Story and Key Cast Joined

The One Piece live-action series on Netflix was one of the biggest streaming surprises of 2023. Fans praised the show for remaining faithful to Eiichiro Oda’s manga while providing strong visuals and performances. Now, Netflix has officially confirmed the next chapter. One Piece Season 2 will premiere on March 10, 2026, with all episodes releasing simultaneously worldwide.

The announcement has generated intense interest as the story moves into one of the most important stages of the Straw Hat Pirates’ journey.

One Piece Season 2 Release Date and What Netflix Has Confirmed

Netflix has confirmed that One Piece season 2 will release exclusively on the platform on March 10, 2026. Like Season 1, the new season will consist of eight episodes, all concluding in a single day. Filming completed in early 2025, and the series is currently in post-production.

Season 1 ended with Monkey D. Luffy defeating Arlong, liberating the Konomi Islands, and receiving a new bounty. The Straw Hat crew then set off for their next target and entered the Grand Line, a dangerous and famous sea.

Netflix’s official synopsis reads: “Netflix’s high-seas pirate adventure, One Piece, returns for Season 2, unleashing fierce adversaries and the most dangerous discoveries yet. Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the Grand Line, a legendary sea where danger and surprise await at every turn.”

What is the story of One Piece Season 2?

Season 2 will follow the Straw Hats through Logtown, Rivers Mountain (Twin Capes), Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island. These arches mark the transition from the East Blue Line to the Grand Line.

According to the story description, Luffy and his crew will have to face strong enemies, strange islands, and new allies. Tony Tony Chopper, one of the anime’s most beloved characters, will officially debut in Season 2. Executive producer Matt Owens confirmed that Dr. Kureha, played by Katey Sagal, will play a major role tied to the Drum Island arc.

The returning cast includes Iñaki Godoy (Luffy), Emily Rudd (Nami), McKenna (Zoro), Jacob Romero Gibson (Usopp), Taz Skyler (Sanji), Morgan Davis (Coby), and Jeff Ward (Buggy).

The new cast includes Joe Manganiello as Mister 0, Lera Abova as Miss All-Sunday, Charitra Chandran as Miss Wednesday, Senthil Ramamurthy as Nefertari Cobra, David Dastmalchian as Mister 3 and Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha, among others.

Confirmed episode titles include Whiskey Business, Wax On, Wax Off, Big Trouble in Little Gardens, and Fear and Loathing in the Drum Kingdom. Netflix has also released a first-look still teasing Drum Island, which is described as an “unnamed country.”
