Actress Sonakshi Sinha has spoken out against the growing culture of online harassment targeting members of the film industry, calling the trend disturbing and worryingly common. Addressing the issue at a recent event in Mumbai, the actor highlighted that unchecked online abuse affects not only artistes but also film critics and others who give opinions.
A video of Sonakshi’s comment has gone viral on social media. In the video he said,What bothers me more (The thing that bothered me) is this open attack on people online.”
He further explained that the problem is widespread and is no longer limited to actors only. ,It happens with everyone, it happens with actors too, now it happens with critics. (It happens to everyone from actors to critics),” he said, emphasizing how dissent and criticism are facing aggressive reactions online.
