Thalapathy Vijay fans are eagerly waiting for the arrival of Pongal, as this time the celebration is going to be grand and extra special. The renowned South Indian actor will be seen in a powerful avatar taking on the bad guys in director H. Vinoth’s upcoming action-thriller film, Jana Nayagan.
Let’s Cinema recently revealed that the Peak Commercial film will have a runtime of 186 minutes. This means that viewers will get 3 hours 6 minutes of non-stop entertainment. Having said that, the runtime is yet to be officially announced by the makers.
Jan Nayagan’s conspiracy exposed
Even those who are keeping a close eye on the updates of this mass entertainer are curious to know the story of the film. Well, with his much-awaited film, director H. Vinoth is exploring the clash of ideologies between good and bad guys.
According to the above mentioned publication, Jana Nayagan’s story will revolve around two powerful personalities. While one stands up for his people, the other is bent on control. The publication stated, “Their paths had crossed once before. Years later, a child’s silent fear ignites the past, drawing a former police officer into a battle far greater than personal vendetta.” Apparently, the South star is expected to play the role of a former police officer. There are rumors that this film could be a remake of Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer Bhagwant Kesari.
It has also been speculated that the film may include sci-fi elements. For those unaware, the Thalapathy Vijay-starrer political action drama is expected to release in theaters on January 9, 2026, coinciding with Pongal in the coming year.
The film also stars Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Mamita Baiju, Gautham Narayan, Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Priyamani and many others. Sometime ago, its first single titled ‘Thalapathy Kacheri’ was unveiled. If reports are to be believed, the makers will release the trailer of the film on December 31, 2025.
