RBL Bank shares are in focus as CFO Bhuvnesh Tharashankar resigned with immediate effect

Shares of RBL Bank will remain in focus on Tuesday, December 16, following the resignation of its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Bhuvnesh Tarashankar, with immediate effect. The bank officially announced that Tharashankar, who served as the chief executive officer and was part of the senior management team, has stepped down to pursue opportunities outside the organization.

“In pursuance of Regulation 30, Schedule III, Part A, Para A (7) and other applicable provisions of the SEBI Listing Regulations, we hereby inform you that Mr. Bhuvnesh Tharashankar, Chief Financial Officer, being a part of the Key Managerial Personnel and Senior Management, has resigned in ten orders of the Bank to pursue opportunities outside the Bank.

The resignation was sent in a formal letter on December 15 and was accepted by the bank the same day after an internal discussion. His termination from duties was effective as of close of business hours on December 15.

As per the company’s announcement to the stock exchanges, the bank has identified an interim successor for the position as per the succession plan approved by the board.

In his resignation letter, Tharashankar expressed his gratitude for the support and opportunities he received during his tenure and stated that the decision was taken keeping personal and professional goals in mind.

He acknowledged the role’s positive impact on his growth and praised the encouragement of colleagues and the management team.

On Monday, shares of RBL Bank fell 1.1% on the NSE to Rs. closed at 304.20.
