Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD has a stellar cast, both in the lead and supporting cast. One of the key supporting characters, Kaira, played by Anna Ben, recently spoke about her favourite cameo in the film and how proud she is of the Malayalam film industry.

In an exclusive conversation News18 ShoshaAnna Ben who plays Kaira in the film shared her happiness about being associated with the same industry as Dulquer, who has a significant fan base. She said, “Dulquer is now a national star and not just a Malayalam star. His coming on board this project has changed a lot of things as he has a huge fan following here. When the film was announced and there was some speculation that he is a part of it, everyone was curious even then. When his face came on screen, people went crazy and I felt very proud to know that we are part of the same industry which is being presented in a beautiful way.”

She hinted that her character might return in the sequel, although director Nag Ashwin has not confirmed anything about it. Anna expressed happiness that she might reprise her role if she gets a chance. Anna said, “I was also thinking the same. During the shoot, I became friends with the A.D. They were excited about my character and were also hoping that my character would return at some point. I asked Nagi sir about it, but he did not say anything as he is a man of few words. He just smiled and said, ‘I don’t know. Maybe. Let’s see.’ So, I guess we have to wait and see. I will be very happy if she comes back.”

Anna also expressed his happiness and pride in representing the Malayalam film industry. He said that the film represents Indian cinema beautifully and praised the efforts of everyone involved. “My colleagues from the industry are very happy to see me and Shobana madam representing Kerala by being a part of such a big film. A lot of people from the industry called me and told me that they are very happy to see me, even though it is a small part. I have received a lot of love and they are very happy to see my name in the list of people involved in the film,” the ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ actor said.

Nag Ashwin’s ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is a pan-Indian film starring Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. The film also features Disha Patani, Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, Shobhana, Brahmanandam and Anna Ben in cameo roles.
