One year after the tragic incident Pushpa 2: Rules Eight-year-old Sritej was seriously injured in the premiere stampede, an issue that resurfaced when his father Bhaskar claimed that Allu Arjun’s team has stopped responding to his requests for additional financial support. To allay the concerns, Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman and producer Dil Raju met Bhaskar and released a detailed explanation video with Allu Arjun’s team.

In the video, Dil Raju explains, “Allu Arjun gave Rs 2 crore, and we pooled it in such a way that he gets a monthly payment of Rs 75,000 out of it. The purpose of this amount was to cover the family’s living expenses and medical bills.” Allu Arjun has contributed Rs 3.20 crore to the family in the last year. This also includes Rs 1.5 crore kept in fixed deposit in the name of the child. His mother also died in the stampede.

He further said that up to Rs 70 lakh has been spent on medical and rehabilitation costs. He said, “The injured boy is now recovering, but Bhaskar has requested additional assistance. I have assured him that I will talk to Arvind Garu and help him.”

Bhaskar, who had earlier claimed that the team was unresponsive, said after the meeting: “I need support for at least six months for the rehabilitation of my child. It has now been approved, and Allu Arjun has agreed to it. They will cover all the medical expenses.” Dil Raju further assured that the support will continue, even if it takes a year.
