Tribute to Dharmendra on 90th birthday: Deol family may open farmhouse for fans
Actors Sunny and Bobby Deol are reportedly all set to celebrate Dharmendra’s 90th birth anniversary with their families at his Khandala farmhouse. He is likely to open the doors for his fans, so they can pay their respects to the late actor.

Actors Sunny and Bobby Deol, along with members of the Deol family, are reportedly planning to gather at their late father Dharmendra’s 90th birthday at his farmhouse in Khandala. The family intends to turn the day into a public tribute by inviting fans to visit the farmhouse and take part in celebrating the veteran actor’s contribution to Indian cinema.
according to a Hindustan Times According to reports, the decision to open the farmhouse to the public was taken after the family became aware of the strong desire among fans to have their last glimpse.
A source told the portal, “Sunny and Bobby have decided to visit their father’s farmhouse to honor his memory and legacy. While discussing their plans, they realized that many fans wanted them to get a chance to meet or see Dharmendra for the last time. That’s why they have decided to open the doors of the farmhouse for fans who want to come, pay their respects and meet the family. The family will also meet fans at the farmhouse.”
Preparations for the meeting are going on, details regarding the equipment are being finalized. The event is not designed as a formal fan gathering, rather the family aims to make it accessible to anyone wishing to attend.
The source further added, “It’s not that he has organized any special fan event or anything, but he has opened the doors for those who want to come and honor his father’s legacy. As far as arranging transportation is concerned, they can consider it, since the road to the farmhouse is not easily accessible to everyone. However, it will depend on how many people are planning to attend, which is not confirmed yet.” Hindustan Times,
The commemoration in Khandala is celebrated after a period of mourning for Dharmendra. The actor died on November 24 at the age of 89. The family held a private funeral in Mumbai, which was attended by close relatives and colleagues from the film industry.
In the days after the funeral, Sunny, Bobby went to Haridwar with Sunny’s son Karan Deol. He immersed Dharmendra’s ashes in the Ganga at Har Ki Paadi.
On 27 November, a prayer meeting called ‘Celebration of Life’ was organized by the Deol family in Mumbai. Notable personalities from the film industry including Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Rekha and Aishwarya Rai attended the event. Meanwhile, Dharmendra’s second wife Hema Malini organized a separate prayer meeting at her residence on the same day.
Dharmendra was married to Prakash Kaur in 1954, with whom he had four children: Sunny, Bobby, Vijeta and Ajita. He later married Hema Malini and has two daughters, Isha and Ahana.
