Dhurandhar: Censor Board asked to remove, alter and mute violent scenes and abusive language.
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has officially cleared Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar starring Ranveer Singh. The film has been given an A certificate, with more details about its runtime and story now public.

Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has certified Aditya Dhar’s film stalwart After clarifying to the Delhi High Court that the film has no connection with Major Mohit Sharma. The film starring Ranveer Singh was given an A certificate, allowing it to proceed with its release plans. Following the censor board’s decision, details about the film’s runtime, story and content were made available.
According to CBFC website, stalwart has been awarded an A certificate and runs for 214.1 minutes (3 hours, 34 minutes, 1 second). It has since become Bollywood’s longest film in 17 years. jodha akbar (2008), and is Ranveer’s first A-rated release.
Before the grand release, the CBFC suggested some cuts and modifications to the film.

Several violent shots in the beginning were removed and changed, and the second part required the violent scenes to be toned down and a profanity muted. The name of a minister character was changed, and additional music and end-credits scenes were included during censorship.
The CBFC’s statement comes as a response to previous concerns over the film being linked to a respected officer, Major Mohit Sharma. Addressing these concerns directly, the CBFC said, “The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) told the Delhi High Court that Aditya Dhar’s film Dhurandhar has no connection with Major Mohit Sharma.” This clarification allowed the approval process to proceed without any controversy regarding the film’s content.
The film’s synopsis on the website is as follows: “Following the hijacking of IC-814 in 1999 and the attack on Parliament in 2001, India’s Intelligence Bureau chief, Ajay Sanyal, undertakes an unstoppable mission to break up and infiltrate terrorist networks in Pakistan by infiltrating Karachi’s underworld mafia. Meanwhile, a 20-year-old boy from Punjab, held captive for a crime of revenge, is identified by Sanyal.”
stalwart Directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Dhar, Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar under Jio Studios and B62 Studios. The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi in lead roles along with Ranveer Singh. It is set to release in theaters on December 5.
