But Subramaniam has spent a large part of his career at Google. He started his journey at the company in 2009 as a Staff Research Scientist and rose to VP of Engineering. During his tenure at Google, he led the development of the Gemini AI assistant. He left Google for Microsoft in June this year.

Where did Abar Subramaniam study?

Abar Subramaniam completed his Bachelor of Engineering (BE) from Bangalore University in 2001. Subsequently, he joined IBM as a software engineer for a 10-month stint, before taking a career hiatus. He then completed his PhD from the University of Wisconsin.
