Dies Irae, which translates to “Day of Wrath” in Latin, is written and directed by Rahul Sadasivan and produced by Chakraborty Ramachandra and S. Ramesh under Night Shift Studios and YNOT Studios. Produced by Shashikant. The film is based on Pranav Mohanlal’s character Rohan, a wealthy Indian-American architect who lives comfortably in a villa in Kerala. After hearing about the demise of his former classmate Kani, played by Sushmita Bhatt, he goes to her house and takes a hairclip as a souvenir. Soon after, disturbing supernatural events begin to occur, forcing him to question his sense of reality. The supporting cast includes Gibin Gopinath, Manohari Joy, Arun Ajikumar and Jaya Kurup.
Upon release, Dias Ira earned strong critical acclaim. Despite receiving an A certificate for its horrifying content, it grossed Rs. Earned Rs. Earning ₹82 crore worldwide, it became one of the top Malayalam hits of 2025.
