The controversy follows the release of the film’s trailer and comes just a day after Major Mohit Sharma’s family filed a petition seeking a stay on the film for similar reasons.

stalwartDirected by Aditya Dhar, is one of the most anticipated releases of the year. It stars Sanjay Dutt as Chaudhary Aslam, who was widely known for his campaign against criminal gangs in the Lyari district of Karachi.

Chaudhry Aslam, a police officer, led several high-profile operations against notorious people in Karachi, including Rehman Dacoit and Uzair Baloch. He was killed in a bomb attack in 2014, claimed by the Mohmand chapter of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Taliban.

The film’s trailer has raised concerns among Aslam’s family, especially after a line in which his character is referred to as “the child of the devil and the jinn”.

in conversation with PTI, Naureen said, “We are Muslims and such words are insulting not only to Aslam but also to his mother, who was a simple, honest woman.”

She said, “If I see that my husband is being portrayed wrongly in the film or any propaganda is being done against him, I will definitely take all legal steps.”

Naureen also criticized the practice of Indian filmmakers of focusing on Pakistani celebrities to defame the country. He said, “It is strange that Indian filmmakers do not find any other subject except defaming Pakistan.”

According to Naureen, her husband’s legacy is of courage and honesty. She said, “My husband was a brave and courageous police officer and criminals and terrorists feared his name. I am surprised that they have portrayed Rehman Dacoit as a big terrorist, although I know from my husband that he was an extortionist, kidnapper and criminal.”
