Dhanush and Kriti Sanon’s romantic drama in love with you Taking a great start at the box office, collecting around Rs 17 crore on the first day on Friday, November 28. According to Industry Tracker SacnilkEnthused by positive reviews from both critics and audiences, the film grossed Rs 16.50 crore nett in India on its first day.

The film recorded an overall occupancy of 25.77 percent on its first day, with the number continuing to increase throughout the day. The morning show saw 15.29 percent occupancy, which increased to 21.67 percent in the afternoon and 24.55 percent in the evening. The night show witnessed the highest turnout of 41.56 percent.

in love with you Voting in major Indian cities showed a mixed trend. Delhi NCR led the way with 1,195 shows, followed by Mumbai (896), Ahmedabad (518), and Pune (407).

In terms of occupancy, Chennai topped overall with 51 per cent occupancy, mainly due to lower number of screenings. Bengaluru (32.75 percent), Hyderabad (31.25 percent), and Jaipur (26.33 percent) also recorded strong, consistent audience response.

Metros and tier-1 cities contributed significantly to the film’s impressive first day performance.

Billed as a spiritual successor to the 2013 hit RaanjhanaaThe film is set in the turbulent and spiritually charged landscape of Banaras. Dhanush plays the role of Shankar and Kriti Sanon plays the role of Mukti in this intense love story filled with emotional complexity and dark twists.

Relationship between Shankar and Mukti Flawed, layered, and ultimately tragic. When Mukti chooses to marry someone else, their love leads to heartbreak, causing Shankar to spiral into anger and passion. Themes of love, loss, heartbreak, betrayal and revenge form the core of the narrative, which explores the thin line between passion and toxicity.
