Football legend and former England football captain David Beckham met actors Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Dhanush in Mumbai on Friday. The meetings took place outside events in the city and attracted significant attention online. Beckham’s visit is part of her ongoing role as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
During a conversation with Samantha Elle IndiaDavid said, “India is one of those places I’ve never been, and when I came here two years ago, I was blown away. I knew I would love it, but I didn’t know I would love it as much as I do now. And it says it’s about the people, the environment, the culture and the food. But the energy of the people in India is not what it is in many places in the world.”
As the two left the venue, paparazzi captured pictures of the two embracing briefly before going their separate ways. Beckham wore a black T-shirt and matching trousers, while Samantha wore a gray pinstripe suit. The moment was shared widely on social media.
Beckham also took time out to chat to fans outside the venue. Before leaving, he stopped to take selfies and sign autographs.
The football legend also met Dhanush at a separate event in Mumbai on Friday. A video posted by Dhanush fan page (dhanushteam.ig), The two were shown talking, both wearing black suits. Like the meeting with Samantha, this meeting also got a lot of attention on social media.
On the work front, Samantha recently produced the film Subham. She will next be seen in Raj & DK Blood Universe: Bloody EmpireWhich includes a group of artists. The film is expected to release in 2026.
