Salman Khan in Sunny Deol’s Gabru? Reports of extended special appearance emerge
Salman Khan will be seen in an extended special role in three scenes in Sunny Deol’s film ‘Gabru’ directed by Shashank Udapurkar. A source confirmed that Salman had quietly shot the entertainer a year ago, inspired by his close relationship with Sunny, with whom he last acted in 1996’s ‘Jeet’.

a report of Bollywood Hungama A source was quoted as saying, “A star was needed and the makers knew that Salman Khan fit the role perfectly. Salman was approached and he loved the role and its contribution to the film. He quietly shot the film over a year ago and it has turned out well.”

Interestingly, both Salman Khan and Sunny Deol are very close, but they have worked together only once. Victory (1996). they were also part of heroes (2008) but he never shared screen space in a war film. The source said, this also gave Salman another reason to sign ‘Gabru’.
The 59-year-old was last seen in AR Murugadoss’s action-drama ‘Sikander’ (2025). The film also starred Rashmika Mandanna, Satyaraj, Sharman Joshi, Satyadev Kanchana and Boman Irani in lead roles.
The actor will be next seen in ‘Battle of Galwan’ directed by Apoorva Lakhia. He will play the role of Colonel B Santosh Babu, an army officer, in the film based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops. Chitrangada Singh also plays an important role in this. Although rumors circulated about Amitabh Bachchan joining the cast, the director has confirmed that he is not involved. Production is currently underway and is expected to be released in 2026.
Additionally, Salman will be starring in ‘Kick 2’ with producer Sajid Nadiadwala. The film is a sequel to the 2014 action film starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
