Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran hints at Memories sequel, confirms engagement

Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has shared insights on the much-awaited sequel of the film ‘Memories’ as well as his current and upcoming projects. He also revealed the status of several ongoing productions and talked about collaborations with leading directors and technicians.

Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has addressed the possibility of a sequel to the widely acclaimed murder mystery ‘Memories’ directed by Jeethu Joseph. The actor, who is awaiting the release of his film ‘Vilayatha Buddha’, talked about possible future projects while talking to a radio channel. He confirmed that director Jeethu Joseph “wants to make a sequel” to the 2013 film, which featured Prithviraj as police officer Sam Alex.

He elaborated on this idea by saying red fm malayalam That the director has expressed interest in the project for some time. “He has been talking to me about this for some time now,” said Prithviraj, who suggested that the story would be based on his character’s story from the first film. However, he stressed that the final decision regarding the sequel is up to the producers.

Prithviraj also hinted at the possibility of reuniting with director Blessy, with whom he worked in ‘Aadujeevitham’. Although he did not give further details, the mention indicates ongoing discussions about future collaborations with established filmmakers in the Malayalam industry.

Along with these developments, Prithviraj shared updates on other confirmed projects. He revealed that there is only one production schedule left for his film ‘I, Nobody’ with director Nisam Bashir and actor Parvathy Thiruvothu. He described the project as nearing completion and outlined his commitments for the coming months.

Prithviraj said, “After ‘Nobody’, I will start working on ‘Chalifa’.” He said that preparations for this new venture are underway. He indicated that his schedule is structured to accommodate multiple overlapping projects, which highlights the demands of his current workload.

The actor also confirmed that work on his long-rumored film ‘Kaliyan’ has started. He said principal photography is expected to begin next year, and ‘Santosh Trophy’, which reunites him with director Vipin Das, is also scheduled to begin in the same period. These announcements indicate a busy slate for the actor across genres.

Regarding ‘Kaaliyan’, Prithviraj commented on the music composition process. “We are sitting with Ravi Basrur in his studio as part of the composition work,” he said, referencing the collaboration with the renowned musician. The move marks an important stage in the film’s development as the creative team finalizes its music direction.

Currently, Prithviraj is also busy shooting for ‘Varanasi’ with director SS Rajamouli, co-starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra.
