The much-awaited trailer of the upcoming film ‘Dhurandhar’ was released in Mumbai on Tuesday, but the spotlight was not just on the high-octane action – it was entirely on the film’s youngest star. Actor Ranveer Singh has given a huge vote of confidence as he praised his 20-year-old co-star Sara Arjun for her “remarkable” acting skills and compared her to Hollywood sensation Dakota Fanning.

Speaking at the launch event, Singh immediately expressed his surprise at Arjun’s seasoned performance despite ‘Dhurandhar’ being his official Bollywood debut, calling Arjun a “genius”.

Singh said, “Sarah is a prodigy here. You know some people are talented since childhood. Like Dakota Fanning in Hollywood.” “Sarah, I think it’s a testament to you that you beat thousands of other candidates to get this role. It’s like she’s done 50 films before this. Very accomplished as a person, as an artiste. You’re one of the finest actors I’ve shared the screen with.”

Singh, known for his energy and dramatic flair, credited Arjun for improving his performance, saying, “You make me look better, and I’m deeply grateful for that. I can’t believe this is your first film.”

While ‘Dhurandhar’ is Arjun’s first Hindi film, he is already a well-known face in the southern cinema landscape, having earned critical acclaim for his work as a child artiste.

She previously gained wide recognition for her role as young Nandini (played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) in Mani Ratnam’s epic ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ films. She first gained attention for her stellar performance opposite Vikram in the 2011 Tamil film ‘Deiva Thirumagal’ and received praise for her role in the 2014 film ‘Saivam’.

‘Dhurandhar’ is gearing up for a big release this holiday season with a stellar cast like Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi.

The film is written, directed and co-produced by Aditya Dhar, producer of the blockbuster ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’. It is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar under the banners of Jio Studios and B62 Studios, while the music is composed by Shashwat Sachdev.

The excitement generated by Ranveer Singh’s extraordinary appreciation for Sara Arjun has further increased the anticipation of the theatrical release of ‘Dhurandhar’ on 5th December.
