Varanasi starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran recently began its promotions after the official title was revealed at the Globetrotter event. Now, the lead cast has been seen together in an awe-inspiring photo moment, captured by PeeCee herself.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas took to her social media handle to share some moments from Hyderabad after the Varanasi team’s media interaction. After the interview, the lead cast posed together for an amazing picture, with the actress calling Mahesh and Prithviraj “legends”.

The actress captioned the post, “Working with these two giants of Telugu and Malayalam industries and coming together for SS Rajamouli’s film is already a privilege.”

He added, “Also, we have been promoting our film with the international media almost a year before its release! Seeing their reactions and anticipation building is exciting to say the least. By the grace of God, we will live up to your expectations. Jai Shri Ram.”

More information about Varanasi

Varanasi is an upcoming epic adventure film starring Mahesh Babu in the lead role. Directed by SS Rajamouli, the film features the superstar as a globe-trotting and time-trotting adventurer named Rudra.

The first look of the actor was revealed with the concept video of Varanasi, where Mahesh is seen looking majestic holding a trident in his hand.

Earlier, the makers had also unveiled the first looks of Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Priyanka plays the character of Mandakini, in her first poster she is seen wearing a yellow saree and waving a gun.

Prithviraj, on the other hand, plays the role of Kumbha, a supervillain with a hideous gaze who threatens everything and everyone that comes in his path.

Varanasi is scheduled to hit theaters in summer 2027, with reports suggesting a possible March release. While parts of the filming have already taken place at various locations, the entire shoot is expected to last until 2026.

Although the lead cast has been revealed, more details about the film are yet to be announced by the makers.
