Khushboo hits back at trollers after Sundar C leaves Rajinikanth’s Thalaivar 173
Sundar C resigned from the much-awaited Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan film, sparking debate and speculation on social media, which led to social media trolling and a sharp reaction from Khushboo Sundar.
Actress Khushboo Sundar has reacted after her filmmaker husband Sundar C stepped down from the director’s role for Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth’s much-talked-about film. Tentatively titled ‘Thalaivar 173’, the project took an unexpected turn when Sundar C announced his exit just days after his attachment went public.
Social media was quickly filled with speculations about Sundar C’s decision to leave the film. While some discussed possible industry reasons, many comments became personal. Many users made inappropriate and misogynistic comments towards Sundar’s wife, actor Khushboo, prompting him to respond publicly.
Khushboo also did not lag behind in addressing the trollers. When a person questioned whether Sundar C left because Rajinikanth had asked Khushboo to do a special number, she replied, “Ile, Unga Veetule Irundhu Yaravadhu Aaduvaikalamnu Nenacho (No, we were thinking of involving someone from your family for this).”
Another harsh comment said, “Kusu, heard that because of Sundar C’s pathetic story, Rajni and Kamal threw your husband out of their production. So is it time for the Indian film industry to throw your husband Sundar C in the dustbin?” To this Khushboo replied, “yen seruppu size 41, Adi Vanga Thayara(My sandal size is 41. Are you ready to get beaten by this,) (sic)”
She also reacted to the meme which showed Rajinikanth running away from her, “Appadidhan Un Amma Unnai Petthangala(Is this how your mother raised you,) Thanks for the information. In response to another user’s claim that Sundar C was removed due to a “cheesy story”, he replied, “And you tweet on rumors and raise questions,, What a troublemaker you are.”
Sundar’s decision was attributed to “unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances”. The update has disappointed fans, especially those who were eager to see the veteran actors on screen again.
Amidst the online exchange, Kamal Haasan, whose production house Raj Kamal Films International is backing the project, clarified, “Sundar C has given his reason for withdrawing from the project through a press release. I have nothing to add. Until my star is satisfied with the script, we will keep looking for it. We are currently in the process of finalizing a quality script.”
With Sundar C’s departure, attention has turned to possible replacements, with some speculating that Dhanush may step into the director’s chair. Currently, the team continues to search for a suitable script that meets the standards set by Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan’s collaboration.
