Ajay Devgan and Rakul Preet Singh’s recent release ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ has seen a jump of 50% at the box office. It has earned Rs 23.22 crore in two days since its release.

The film opened with a collection of Rs 8.75 crore and experienced significant growth on the second day, highlighting the strong audience interest in the romantic comedy genre.

The figures of ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ increased rapidly at the box office on Saturday, the film earned Rs 13.77 crore. This surge has contributed significantly to the cumulative total, reflecting the growing popularity of the film among cinema lovers.

According to trade tracking platform SacnilkOccupancy rates saw progress throughout the day. It started at 7.60% in the morning, reached 16.28% in the afternoon, 21.72% during the evening and reached 36.50% for the night show.

The film is the story of Ashish (played by Ajay Devgan) and Ayesha (played by Rakul Preet Singh). The story traces the dynamics of their relationship as Ashish meets Ayesha’s parents (played by R Madhavan and Gautami Kapoor), with the age difference between the couple as the central theme.

The trailer also introduces the character played by Meezaan Jaffrey, who is appointed by Ayesha’s parents to influence her decisions regarding her relationship with Ashish. This setup brings additional conflict to the film’s story, increasing its appeal among the audience.

India Today in its review said, “It’s a thoroughly crowd-pleasing, and comfortably familiar – never extravagant, but never dull. This is the kind of film you watch knowing what you’re going to get, and that’s exactly what you get. ‘De De Pyar De 2’ is comfortable. Watch it if you like rom-coms and want to give Bollywood a try.”
