Now, tipster Instant Digital has hinted that the top-of-the-line iPhone 18 Pro Max could become Apple’s heaviest flagship device yet.

How heavy will the iPhone 18 Pro Max be?

The rumored weight reportedly exceeds 240 grams, which points to a significant increase compared to the current and previous Pro Max models. With these potential changes, Apple is set to make another significant change to its flagship smartphone lineup.

Instant Digital has shared a post on Chinese social media platform Weibo. According to the tipster, the iPhone 18 Pro Max could weigh more than 240 grams, which would be more than the iPhone 17 Pro Max, which weighs 233 grams. The next-generation device is expected to be around 10 grams heavier than the iPhone 17 Pro Max. If accurate, this would be the largest increase in weight for any Apple smartphone in recent years.

Additionally, this will make the iPhone 18 Pro Max heavier than the iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro Max. The weight of both the devices was 240 grams. The potential height of the iPhone 18 Pro Max is attributed to design changes and hardware enhancements. The extra weight seems to be tied to the thicker chassis, which is expected to measure closer to 9mm – which is slightly larger than the 8.8mm profile of the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Why might the iPhone 18 Pro Max be heavy?
