Producer Mukesh Bhatt opens up on his separation from elder brother Mahesh Bhatt. He also talked about director Vikram Bhatt’s allegations of exploiting Mahesh Bhatt.
Mukesh said in an interview with Lehren Retro, “I have no bitterness towards him. I don’t know what he thinks about me, but there is nothing like that from my side. He (Mahesh) is gullible and people had vested interests in how to separate these brothers.”
Responding to Vikram’s comment, Mukesh asserted, “Say what you want, I won’t take anyone’s name. Tell Vikram Bhatt to look within himself, listen to his conscience. He will get the answer whether he is right or wrong.”
The producer further added, “I will not be influenced by what anyone says. Mahesh Bhatt is my God, he is my elder brother. I love him very much and will always love him. I am not saying this as a statement, I say it from the heart. I pray for respect, love and happiness for him because he is a very good person.”
The 73-year-old said, “No matter how good a person is, everyone has flaws. His flaw is that he is easily influenced and swayed by it.”
Mukesh’s next project is director Anurag Basu’s musical romantic-drama starring actors Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela. Earlier the name of this film was ‘Aashiqui 3’. However, according to reports, due to the controversy with Mahesh, the film has now been temporarily titled ‘Tu Meri Zindagi Hai’, which is inspired by the popular 1990 song ‘Aashiqui’.
The filming of ‘Tu Meri Zindagi Hai’ is underway in Mumbai and will continue till 2025, with patchwork and editing starting in early 2026. This schedule gives the team time to add any creative elements needed for the final cut.
Bhushan Kumar has co-produced the film. Awaiting official title announcement.
