First Day Box Office Prediction: Rs. 4-7 crores

This year saw some surprise hits in the love story genre, like Syara, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat and Sanam Teri Kasam (re-release). These films lacked any kind of face value, but a major ingredient in their success was hit music. Tere Ishq Mein is another film from the same field. The title song worked, though not at the level of Saiyara and Deewaniyat.

The actor-director duo had a hit film Raanjhanaa in 2013 with a good following. Initially, the project was pitched as a kind of spiritual sequel, but that angle has since been dropped, and no marketing efforts have been made in that direction. This could have added some initial value.

Still, having a taste of the season gives the film some hope, which may be more than just its cast alone.

Dhurandhar (05/12/2025)

First Day Box Office Prediction: Rs. 12-16 crores

It’s a big budget tentpole release, but from a genre that doesn’t usually score huge. The director had a big blockbuster in the same field, Uri – The Surgical Strike, but the promotion of the real-world incident was helping it. The film has an ensemble cast led by Ranveer Singh, who has not seen a good time at the box office after the pandemic.

The only marketing material for the film so far was a teaser-plus-song, which was well received, although it would be the trailer that would give more clarity on the film’s prospects. The trailer was scheduled to release tomorrow, but it was postponed due to the Delhi bomb attacks. Based on the trailer, predictions may increase in the coming weeks.

Other updates:

– Advance sales of De De Pyaar De 2 are low, in line with single-digit opening day forecasts in previous weeks, though closer to the lower end of the range than the higher one. The forecast has also been reduced by Rs. Rs 7-10 crore. 6-9 crores.
The trailer of Masti 4 did not create any stir regarding the direction of the film. In fact, the forecast has been reduced slightly to Rs. 1.5-3.5 crore to Rs. 1-3 crores.
