According to The Korean Times, Hyuna has a known medical condition – vasovagal syncope – which is a common cause of fainting, which occurs when a person’s heart rate and blood pressure suddenly drop due to a specific trigger such as stress, pain or the sight of blood. This temporary loss of consciousness is usually harmless and is often preceded by symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, and blurred vision. Episodes can be managed by identifying and avoiding triggers, and lying down with legs raised immediately when you feel faint to restore blood flow to the brain.

Kim Hyuna (born 1992), better known as Hyuna, is one of South Korea’s most enduring and influential female solo artists, often credited with pushing the boundaries of the K-pop industry with her bold and provocative image. Her career started early, she first debuted in 2007 as a member of the iconic girl group Wonder Girls. However, he left the group shortly after due to health concerns.

She made a powerful comeback in 2009 as the main rapper of the hugely popular girl group 4minute, where she quickly established herself as the group’s central figure and resident ‘sexy icon’. Beyond 4 Minutes, HyunA was also a core member of the mixed-gender super-duo Trouble Maker with Hyeon Seung, known for their highly sensual performances and chart-topping hits such as ‘Trouble Maker’ (2011).

However, his true global fame came when he starred prominently in Psy’s viral sensation ‘Gangnam Style’ (2012), appearing in the music video and its popular spin-off, ‘Oppa Is Just My Style’, which introduced his unique charisma to millions around the world.

Following 4minute’s disbandment in 2016, Hyundai successfully solidified her status as a dynamic solo artist. His solo discography, which includes ‘Bubble Pop!’ (2011), ‘Red’ (2014), and ‘Roll Deep’ (2015), consistently blending hip-hop influences with vibrant, catchy pop and often earning high placements on both domestic and international charts.

A key moment that defined her subsequent career was her relationship with fellow idol Don (Kim Hyo-jeong). The public acknowledgment of their relationship in 2018 challenged the strict dating standards often imposed on K-pop stars, leading to his departure from his agency, Cube Entertainment.

After signing with Psy’s label, P NATION, he continued to release music, including his hit single ‘Flower Shower’ (2019). Throughout her journey, HyunA has become synonymous with fearless self-expression and resilience, serving as an enduring role model for artists seeking fame and artistic freedom in the highly competitive K-pop landscape.
