Farah Khan Ali wrote an emotional tribute to her late mother and actor-filmmaker Sanjay Khan’s wife Zarine Khan, who died in Mumbai on Friday at the age of 81 due to age-related complications.

Remembering her mother, Farah shared an old video on social media singing Zareen’s evergreen classic “Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo”.

Paying tribute to his mother’s warmth and spirit, he wrote, “Don’t insist on going today. keep sitting in the same places My mother, my soulmate, the woman who touched so many lives with her loving warmth and radiance.”

She added, “You will be missed as no one can ever be like you. Your legacy will always inspire many and I promise to follow in your footsteps and keep our family bound together forever. Your friends will become my friends and I will love them and hold them close. You will be missed until we meet again. May your soul rest in peace, my dear mother.”

Zareen’s daughter Sussanne Khan Also shared a heartfelt note, in which she wrote, “Our most precious mother, there is no one like you in the universe.” In a touching message, she wrote, “My best friend, my God, my life our beautiful mother.. You will always be our guiding light, you have taught us all to live it your own way with the epitome of grace and love. May we all be half as amazing as you were. We love you beyond love, beyond life. You teach the angels in heaven to love, they are so lucky to have you. P.S. You took all our hearts with you.”

Zareen was saved Her Husband and Children – Sussanne Khan, Simone Arora, Farah Khan Ali and Zayed Khan.
