Sobhita Dhulipala’s Telugu wins over husband Naga Chaitanya

Naga Chaitanya can’t stop praising his wife, actor Sobhita Dhulipala, especially her impeccable command of Telugu. As the couple nears their first wedding anniversary on December 4, 2025, Chaitanya gets candid in the conversation Vogue India What she finds most special about him is her effortless ability to move between two worlds while remaining rooted in her identity.
“She looks good in Mumbai, her roots are in Vizag,” Chaitanya said, explaining how Sobhita balances modernity with tradition. He added, “In Mumbai, she is a quintessential city girl, charming, visionary and confident. But when she comes back home to Vizag, she is deeply connected to her culture.”
However, what attracts him most is his natural fluency in Telugu. “His Telugu astonishes me,” Chaitanya confesses with a smile. He jokingly said that he should teach this language.
Meanwhile, Sobhita shared how personal it feels to talk to Chaitanya in Telugu. “After living in Mumbai for so long, I had almost forgotten what it felt like to have a conversation in Telugu with anyone other than my parents,” she said. She added, “Talking Telugu over tea feels like home. It’s the language I associate with my happiest and most emotional moments.” He said that his emotions flowed most freely in his mother tongue. “Whenever I am really happy or sad, my thoughts automatically come out in Telugu,” Sobhita shared.
On the professional front, Naga Chaitanya was last seen in ‘Thandel’, which earned praise for its emotional story and is currently streaming on Netflix.
