plot:
Amrit (Lakshya) is an Army Commando. When he learns that the love of his life, Tulika (Tanya Maniktala) has been forcefully engaged to someone else, he takes it upon himself to stop that marriage from happening. He boards a train bound for New Delhi to meet Tulika and get her out of the trouble she is in. Phani (Raghav Juyal) and his gang of thieves are on a killing spree on the same train Amrit is on. Amrit takes it upon himself to save the passengers from the ruthless thieves.
Will Amrit be able to save all the passengers? What will happen to Tulika? To know this you will have to watch Kill.
What Works for Kill:
Kill is a well-shot action-drama that is worth watching for the bloody and gruesome action sequences shot on a moving train. From the choreography of the action sequences to the way they are captured on camera and some banging background scores, everything is commendable. The film wastes no time in building up and gets straight to the action. The film works well for its duration of over a hundred minutes. Lakshya as Amrit is presented like a real commando. He has a strong physique and is fully capable of presenting himself as an action star whose kicks and punches feel real, not fake. He is also very expressive, especially in the last 10 minutes of the film where he has to show his emotions. While Raghav Juyal as Phani doesn’t feel like a dreaded thief or killer, he gives the film a little comic charm that it needs.
What doesn’t work for kill:
Kill is poorly written. The screenplay has some exceptional action, but the story lacks substance. Raghav Juyal doesn’t look convincing as the villain. He doesn’t look menacing or scary. The film takes some obvious cinematic liberties, especially in the final showdown. Some of the supporting actors overplay their roles and this takes away from the film’s impact a bit.

Performances in Kiel:
Lakshya as Commando Amrit is very convincing in his action-packed role. He enjoys a strong screen presence. His well-built body helps him kick and punch with ease. Raghav Juyal as Phani has played his role well, but is not that convincing as a villain. Still, he has given some humorous moments in this serious film. Tanya Maniktala as Tulika is good in her simple and brief role. The performances of the other supporting cast range from good to fair.
Final verdict of murder:
Kill is a well-filmed action-drama that has a lot to offer. It is definitely a movie worth watching for action movie fans, while those who don’t like bloody and gory action can easily stay away from it. Kill could have been even better as a movie, as it had a denser plot and a more terrifying antagonist.
