Actress Sonakshi Sinha’s brother Luv Sinha has finally revealed the reason for his absence from the big wedding that took place last month. The actress married Zaheer Iqbal in a civil ceremony on June 23 and her parents Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha were there to bless her. However, her brother was not there.

Luv shared an excerpt from a news report that claimed he avoided the wedding due to the groom’s father’s occupation. He posted a link to the news article on X and confirmed that he was not there to bless the newlyweds. The actor, who calls himself ‘Shotgun Jr’, wrote about not engaging with certain people. “The reasons why I did not attend are very clear and I will not engage with certain people in any way. I am glad a member of the media did their research instead of relying on creative stories being made up by the PR team,” he wrote.

The article he shared in his post made an indirect reference to Zaheer’s father’s business. It read, “Apparently, one of the reasons for concern was a rumour about the groom’s past life. With all the carefully crafted news about his family business, no one ventured into grey areas like the groom’s father’s proximity to a politician whose ED investigation vanished in the “washing machine”. Nor was there any talk of the groom’s father staying in Dubai, which was rumoured to have come to an abrupt end.” It also suggested the involvement of a superstar with strong ties in the UAE.

Luv decided not to be with his sister during the celebrations, while the other brother Kush Sinha decided to stay with his sister for the time being. His wife and other family members stood by the bride as they made it clear that Zaheer has given them the most happiness in life.

After their civil marriage, Sonakshi and Zaheer organized a grand wedding reception at a restaurant in Mumbai. Many Bollywood celebrities including Salman Khan, Rekha, Tabu, Aditya Roy Kapur, Kajol and Raveena Tandon attended this party.
