A team from the Dental Department of AIIMS Gorakhpur has successfully removed a tooth which developed inside the nose of a four -year -old child in Chauri, Uttar Pradesh. The process included advanced surgical intervention and is considered the first case to be handled locally, first requiring referrals for major centers in Delhi or Lucknow.
The child suffered severe pain near the upper jaw and nose for six months, during which his family consulted several hospitals and dentists in Gorakhpur and Deuria, but the problem continued to deteriorate.
