What is Chilli Garlic Chutney made of?

Traditionally made with just a few ingredients – Kashmiri chilli, garlic, oil, salt and lemon juice – it delivers a powerful flavour. Kashmiri chilli imparts a deep red colour and mild pungency, perfect for those who want to enjoy it without burning their taste buds. Garlic adds a tang, while a drop of lemon juice balances the richness and adds a touch of pungency.

How To Make Chilli Garlic Chutney Chilli Garlic Chutney Recipe:

First, soak the Kashmiri chillies in warm water for 15-20 minutes. This softens them, making the chutney smooth and flavourful. Meanwhile, peel and chop the garlic cloves. Heat some oil in a pan or microwave-safe bowl. Add the soaked chillies and garlic, along with some salt. Microwave the mixture on high for 2-3 minutes, stirring at 30-second intervals. This quick cooking process enhances the flavour without burning the ingredients.
When the mixture is cooked, let it cool a bit. Put it in a blender or food processor and blend it into a smooth, tangy paste. You can vary the consistency to your liking – some people like it thick, while others like it silky smooth. Finish it off with fresh lemon juice, and voila! Your homemade chilli garlic chutney is ready to pamper your taste buds.
