Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor are ready for the release of Sunny Sanskari’s Tulsi Kumari later this week. In a special interview with Pinkvilla, Janhvi revealed that her mother and late mythological actor Sridevi Govinda and her comic timing were a great fan.
When Varun and Janhvi were told about their favorite actors in the comic space, the actress said, “I think we both have the same answer- Govinda and Mom (Sridevi).” Janhvi said, “Mother was actually a huge Govinda fan. She preferred to watch her comedy and she was with it and how physical she was with it.”
The actress underlined that Sridevi used to watch a lot of films by Govinda, and every time any of her films broadcast on television, she used to gag and had a great time. In addition, he said, “I really feel that mother had a lot of time in that comic timing.”
Varun Dhawan agreed with Janhvi and added the names of Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan to the list. He remembered how he used to enjoy watching every Akshay Kumar-Priyadarshan film in the age of 2000.

Kapoor, later, remembering how his mother reacted to see Varun Dhawan in Judwaa 2. The actress said, “I have memories to see Judwa in the theater, which is also irony that it was also released on October 2. I remember she was watching the film with mother and dad. Was it!”.
Varun Dhawan said, “I remember meeting him after that. I was like Oh My God, Chalbaaz’s heroine is telling me this because it is my favorite film. I have seen that film a lot when I was joining, and I was prepating. My father told me, please, please study Sridevi’s performance because you can study the best role for it.”
Varun and Janhvi are cooperating for the second time. His upcoming enterprise is a romantic comedy drama and slate for release on October 2, 2025. Earlier, he worked at Nitesh Tiwari’s Bawal.
