The 71st National Film Awards ceremony is set to roll out the Red Carpet at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 4:00 pm – President Drupadi is set to assign honors to promise Indian cinema’s best celebration with Murmu.

The event is expected to see the presence of a star-stad with Shah Rukh Khan, Vikrant Masi, Rani Mukherjee and Karan Johar. The winners were informed through official communication and will be provided with travel and housing arrangements according to the protocol.

The prominent award winners were revealed at a press conference held at the National Media Center in New Delhi, where filmmaker Ashutosh Govarkar and the jury members announced the results. Vidya Vinod Chopra’s VVC Films gave home to the Best Feature Film Award for ’12th Fail’, while Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky and Rani Kim Prem Kahani’ was honored as the best popular film, providing great entertainment. Sudeepto Sen was awarded the best director for ‘Kerala Story’.

Among the acting categories, Shah Rukh Khan (‘Jawan’) and Vikrant Massey (’12th Fail’) were jointly awarded the best actor, while Rani Mukherjee won the best actress for her performance at ‘Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway’.

Other prominent winners included Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Sam Bahadur’, who received awards for the best makeup, best dress design and best feature film promoting national, social and environmental values. ‘Rocky and Rani’s Prem Kahani’ also won the best choreography. Films like ‘The Kerala Story’, ‘Kathal’, ‘Hanu-Man’ and ‘Animal’ were recognized in various categories.
