WhatsApp has released a new update for beta testers on iOS. The latest version of the app brings a new view theme, which matches the liquid glass of iOS 26.

According to WABETAINFO, the new design will appear throughout the app. Apple’s liquid glass design is to bring a liquid liquidity while maintaining the visual appearance of the glass in a translucent design. This subject was introduced with iOS 26.

Although liquid glass is a challenging subject to master due to various visual elements and how they interact. The report claimed that WhatsApp is focusing on the first navigation bar located at the bottom of the screen.

A screenshot showed that the liquid glass theme was visible while choosing a message in the chat. Coming into the option menu is a focusable transparency.

WhatsApp liquid glass rollout may delay

According to the report, WhatsApp wants to ensure that the entire app runs smoothly with the new design overhaul before the main release.

The latest release is just the first step in this direction.

WhatsApp can make more changes by taking response from examiners in the coming weeks. Even Apple has changed various elements in liquid glass since the first beta release of iOS 26.

Currently, users can notice the level of transparency in tabs, menu and buttons. But this will probably expand further with more updates.

Thus, users should not expect a liquid glass theme on WhatsApp after the rumor iPhone 17 series launch on 9 September. There is no clear time for mass rollouts. Such major overhauls cannot take weeks if not months, even during beta test.

However, the wait will be worth it for iPhone users. The liquid design theme app on WhatsApp will bring the app into line with the rest of the OS, which will be a spontaneous user interface.

WhatsApp brings integrated calling menu

Apart from beta, WhatsApp has updated a new update to the main version of the app. On the platform owned by the meta, users will now have an integrated calling menu instead of separate video and voice calling buttons.

It provides an option for call scheduling or offers options for sending call links to a single drop-down menu.
