Apple is expected to launch its first foldable iPhone next year. Even before the launch of the iPhone 17 series, rumors on unconfirmed devices have increased.

In recent weeks, rumors have indicated that Apple will dig face ID for foldable. This will allow the company to keep the iPhone thin. As an alternative, reports claimed that cupertino giant may use in-display sensors for touch IDs.

This is the first time an iPhone used an under-screen sensor, if some reports had anything to do anything. However, most Android phones have switched into an in-display scanner in recent years.

Tech analyst Ming-Chi Kuo took X to refute such claims. Kuo insisted that Apple was not very likely to take bets on an ultrasonic scanner with iPhone folds.

Instead, he claimed that the company would use a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Apple has used side-mounted touch IDs in the past for many iPad models.

Additionally, the tech analyst said that Luxashare, a prominent apple supplier in China, would be a supplier for the ICT side-mounted touch ID.

iPhone fold: what do we know here

Apple is the only big smartphone manufacturer who does not keep a foldable phone in its lineup. This is set to end with the iPhone fold, however, the company has not given any information on such devices.

According to the leak, the foldable iPhone still designated 7.8 -inch internal performance and 5.5 -inch outer unit is expected to pack. The phone will be a bookstile foldable similar to Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.

The iPhone fold has four cameras with a double camera set-up at the back. Both internal and external displays will get each selfie camera.

The foldable iPhone is expected to be launched with the iPhone 18 series next year, which is likely to be in the month of September. The iPhone fold can be priced between $ 2000- $ 2500 (about Rs 1,75,000-2,20,000). For reference, Samsung Z Fold 7 starts at Rs 1,74,999 in India.
